FNNews publication, citing information from Counterpoint Research analysts, writes that the plan to sell Galaxy S22 smartphones is underfulfilled by 30 million units. The source believes that the reason is the decline in interest in classic flagship phones in favor of folding devices.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphone also does not show brilliant results: it failed to reach a market share of more than 10% in the United States, Canada, Japan or China. Last year's Galaxy Z Flip 3 had better sales figures. The decline in consumer interest was most likely due to the insignificant difference between the two generations.

Samsung's average selling price for the fiscal year increased by only 2%, while Apple's figure is 7%, and sales increased by 10% compared to the same period last year.

Samsung's revenue also fell by about 4% and market share decreased by 0.2% compared to last year.
