Higher diesel prices and deteriorating road conditions have led to higher freight rates. Nevertheless, higher soybean prices could significantly boost Brazil's export earnings.

Corn could also bring more profits to exporters in Brazil. Demand is expected to increase sharply in the coming months amid declining supplies from the Black Sea.

Because of the rise in the price of Brazilian exports, the Brazilian real performed the best in the world relative to the dollar in 2022.
