Virgin Orbit received licenses to launch Britain's first space satellite
The British company Virgin Orbit has received licenses to launch the first orbiting satellite in British history.
It is noted that Virgin Orbit met all requirements for public safety, environmental protection, as well as international obligations.
"The planned launch of the satellite will strengthen our position as one of the leading space powers, as well as stimulate industry development and the flow of innovative technology into the space sector," said United Kingdom Transport Minister Mark Harper.
The rocket, which will be launched over the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, will be carried by a modified Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet model aircraft.
