Brazil has selected participants in the closed CBDC pilot

Brazil's central bank has selected the 14 companies that will participate in the pilot tests of the digital real (CBDC). The list includes the largest local bank Banco do Brasil, other banks (Bradesco, Nubank and Itaú Unibanco) and the local stock exchange.

International companies Visa and Microsoft will also work in the pilot.
