Today China held  the National People's Congress. During it, the authorities announced a plan to tighten control over the financial sector.

Among other things, it foresees the creation of a new agency, the National Financial Regulatory Administration. It will take over the powers of CBIRC, which will be abolished.

Moreover, the new regulator will take over some of the responsibilities of the NBK. And, as expected, the entire cryptocurrency segment.
