China's Huawei reports sales growth for the first time since 2020, the company is recovering from sanctions
Revenue rose 1 percent to 170.6 billion yuan ($25.3 billion) in the second quarter, but net income fell 35 percent. The company attributed the decline to investments in the study of new technologies and the launch of new products.
Half of the company's revenues were from sales of telecommunications equipment. But smartphone sales are stagnating due to U.S. sanctions. The U.S. has cut off Huawei from TSMC semiconductors. Today, the U.S. plans to cut off supplies of ASML chipmaking machines to China.
