Credit Suisse considers selling its asset management business
According to sources, the bank is looking to raise funds for capital investments. The sale of the asset manager division may be related to the bank's desire to get rid of its ties to Russian assets.
Over the past 2 decades, Credit Suisse has become one of the most popular banks for holding assets among wealthy Russians. At its peak, the bank managed $60 billion owned by Russian citizens, bringing in $500 to $600 million in annual income.
