Exactly 9 years ago, on 28 August 2014, Hal Finney, a renowned cryptographer and Bitcoin supporter who played a crucial role in the history of the first cryptocurrency, died. He could have been 67 years old now.

Hal was the first to launch the Bitcoin node after Satoshi Nakamoto, which was the beginning of the network's expansion. He also wrote about it in his tweet "Running bitcoin".

Not only was he the recipientof the first BTC transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto, but he himself, according to one theory, may be the creator of Bitcoin.
