How the Cha-Ching Project is Transforming Financial Education in Vietnam
Prudential and Junior Achievement Vietnam provide financial literacy to 100,000+ children through innovative Cha-Ching curriculum.

    Empowering the Next Generation
In an inspiring endeavor, Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, alongside Junior Achievement Vietnam (JA Vietnam), has revolutionized financial education for Vietnamese children. The Cha-Ching Financial Education Project, now in its fifth year, has reached an impressive milestone by imparting financial wisdom to over 100,000 young minds across the nation.
A Nationwide Expansion
Prudential has successfully launched the Cha-Ching project in the Quang Binh province, marking its expansion to schools across Northern, Central, and Southern regions. Overseen by local educational authorities, the project includes an innovative learning experience that combines financial insights with engaging activities for students.
Interactive Learning: Financial Games and Activities
The project launch was filled with excitement as students participated in financial management-themed games. Through crossword puzzles and the “Financial Adventure with Cha-Ching” online game, children explored vital financial concepts such as earning, saving, spending, and donating money. As Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, Principal of Nam Ly Primary School No. 1 mentioned, “The Cha-Ching Smart Finance project is a significant addition to our curriculum, empowering students with essential life skills.”
Building a Financially Savvy Society
Ms. Doan Bich Ngoc, CEO of JA Vietnam, emphasizes the importance of this initiative: “By understanding money’s true value, children can develop a sense of responsibility, ultimately shaping a future where financial confidence and independence prevail.”
The Cha-Ching Curriculum: A Legacy of Success
Initially introduced during the 2018-2019 school year, the Cha-Ching curriculum has expanded its reach, endorsed by the Ministry of Education and Training for primary schools nationwide. With over 300 schools participating, the project has developed a robust “360-degree education model” that includes animated films, learning materials, and interactive contests, enhancing students’ financial understanding.
Future Prospects and Continued Impact
Prudential and JA Vietnam plan to further their efforts by expanding into more provinces, aiming to create pilot schools that serve as models of financial literacy. As Mr. Phuong Tien Minh, General Director of Prudential Vietnam, asserts, “We are committed to building a generation of financially knowledgeable, confident, and independent youth.”
