Morgan Stanley CEO: There is a 50/50 chance of a recession, but it is unlikely to be deep or prolonged.
According to Gorman, no one can predict exactly what inflation will be a year from now. He also added that Europe's economy will certainly be "slower" than North America's this year.
Earlier on May 26, James Gorman estimated the probability of a recession to be below 50%. At the time he estimated the probability of such a scenario at only 30%.
