U.S. housing market brings buyers to tears
According to the Zillow survey, due to high prices and lack of supply, 50% of homebuyers have cried at least once during the home buying process in recent months. Among young Americans buying a home for the first time, 65% reported critical levels of stress.
Nearly half of homes sold in the U.S. cost more than the asking price in April, down from 37% a year earlier. Year-over-year supply was down about 23%.
